What It Is
A Fresh Finish for an Aging Metal Roof

Over time, metal roofs lose their finish. The gloss fades, the colour oxidises, and what was once a sharp-looking roof starts to look tired — even if it's still structurally sound. Metal roof painting is a cost-effective way to restore the appearance of an aging roof without the expense of full replacement.

We pressure wash the entire roof surface to remove all dirt, oxidation, and loose material, then apply a high-quality direct-to-metal paint by industrial sprayer for even, consistent coverage across every panel, seam, and penetration.

The result is a roof that looks sharp again — with renewed colour, improved weather resistance, and a uniform finish that can add years of visual life to a building.

Straight Talk
What Painting Is & Isn't

We'll always be upfront with you about what a service can and can't do. Metal roof painting is a cosmetic service with secondary protective benefits — it is not a leak repair solution or a substitute for a failing roof.

The paint does add a layer of weather resistance and can help seal minor surface oxidation. But if your roof is actively leaking, painting is not the answer. We'll tell you that honestly before we quote anything — and we'll point you to the right solution instead.

Painting is the right choice when the roof is structurally sound, the finish has aged, and the goal is cosmetic restoration and extended surface life.

Our Standard

"If your roof needs painting, we'll tell you. If it needs replacing, we'll tell you that instead — even if it means losing the paint job. That's how we operate."

Is Your Roof a Candidate?
Qualifying Criteria
Good Candidates
Your Roof Is a Good Candidate
  • 10 years or older — the factory finish has had time to weather and the gloss has faded, which is essential for paint adhesion
  • Dull and oxidised finish — no shine or gloss remaining on the surface
  • Structurally sound — no active leaks, loose panels, or failed fasteners
  • Colour refresh needed — you want a new look without the cost of replacement
  • Residential or agricultural — we assess every roof individually before quoting
Not Recommended If...
Painting Is Not the Right Call
  • Active leaks present — painting will not seal a failing roof and may mask the problem temporarily
  • Finish still has gloss or shine — paint will not adhere properly to a sealed factory finish
  • Significant rust, corrosion, or structural damage — repair or replacement needed first
  • Failed fasteners or loose panels — these must be addressed before any painting is done
  • Expecting a waterproofing solution — painting is cosmetic and cannot be warranted against leaks
How We Do It
The Painting Process
i.
Roof Assessment

We assess the roof condition, surface preparation requirements, and confirm the roof meets our criteria for painting. If it doesn't, we'll tell you what it needs instead.

ii.
Pressure Washing

The entire roof surface is pressure washed to remove all dirt, oxidation, algae, and loose material. Proper surface preparation is the single most important step — paint on a dirty surface won't last.

iii.
Spray Application

High-quality direct-to-metal paint is applied by industrial sprayer for even, consistent coverage. Spraying ensures the paint reaches every seam, fastener head, and panel profile that a roller or brush would miss.

iv.
Inspection & Completion

Full inspection of the finished coat — coverage, consistency, and any touch-up required. Site cleanup and a walkthrough before we leave.

What You Get
Benefits of Metal Roof Painting
  • i.

    Dramatically Improved Appearance

An aged, faded roof can make an otherwise well-maintained building look tired. A fresh coat restores the colour, sharpens the finish, and lifts the appearance of the whole property.

  • ii.

    Extended Surface Life

Direct-to-metal paint adds a protective layer over the existing finish, slowing further oxidation and weathering. A properly painted roof can add years of surface life before replacement is needed.

  • iii.

    Colour Change Option

Want a different colour without replacing the roof? Painting is the most cost-effective way to change the look of a metal roof — particularly on agricultural buildings where colour is more flexible.

  • iv.

    Fraction of Replacement Cost

If the roof structure is sound, painting delivers a significant visual and protective improvement at a fraction of what new panels would cost. For budget-conscious property owners, it's often the right call.

  • v.

    Secondary Weather Resistance

While not a waterproofing solution, the paint does add a secondary layer of weather resistance — helping to seal minor surface oxidation and slow moisture penetration at panel seams over time.
